About my Ram 1500
My 1997 Dodge ram 1500 extended cab laramie has 130,xxx miles on it but it is in really good shape. I have recently installed a 3inch Rough Country lift on it, which ended up being a leveling lift so i added 1-2inch rough country add a leaf. The truck already set pretty level and i have a tool box in the bed that usually has atleast 300lbs in it. So it sets pretty level now. I also added a rough country steering stabilizer and es9000 pro comp shocks front n back. As far as visual upgrades all i have is smoked headlight covers,a lighted summit brand sundvisor and a few amber lights on the front and a led light bar under the tailgate, I also have the kinda cheesy hood scoops from advanced auto. The interior is pretty much stock other than protions of the dash painted blue. and for performance i have a cold air intake and a tuner and dual 12inch thrush glasspacks flowing thru 2.5inch pipe with no catalytic converters ( my area of wv doesnt test for emissions). As of now i have 285-70-17 Maxxis Bighorn on 17x9 polished aluminum American Racing wheels, I havent been able to buy new tires since the installation of the lift, im prob gona go with 33x12.50 Hercules Traildiggers but i might go with some kind of 305-70-17 or 315-70-17 if the 315 will clear. I have also put alot of factory parts on it such as starter, wheel bearings, brake system, new radiator and hoses, new brake lines, new fuel pump and lines, and new battery, and new front axles and all new u joints. I was going to sell the truck and buy a newer diesel but the truck means alot to me so i just decided to take the money i was gona pay difference and make it the perfect truck for me, and i wanted to make sure that not only was it lifted but it was a better and more reliable and newer mechanically speaking truck. I feel i have accomplised my goal. the only changes i will make is im going to add a 3inch body lift to clear 35s.
