Saved money since i was 10 to buy a highboy.  When I was 15 no highboy found but this 79 half ton was great for %1500 with a spare parts truck.  After my couisin painted and fixed the body up I started learning how to wrench starting with the intake going to aluminum.  Then it grew 4" and got 38's then she got 5.13's and a spool for the 9" rear and matching 5.13's and a detroit for the hp dana 44.  Then she grew 3 inces more (body) and got 44 inch shoes. Then the tranny went after many a mud run and taking me to school so busing tables slowly built a 514 cid big block and got her a TCI streetfighter tranny married to the np-205 t-case.  I am 25 now and can happily say it's done and have built a highboy since and many more.  Currently building my first small rig an 83 ranger for the trails and maybe an ultimate adventure if they will have me.  she sports 35's W only 3" of lift.  P.S. I Have broken A LOT of driver side axle shafts in that dana 44 should have built a 60.
