drilled all the rivets out of every crossmember, took spring shackles off frame. Chalk lined outside of frame pattern cut it out of 3/16 plate steel welded it top n bottom to frame then made strips about 3 inches wide n welded them to the top n bottom of frame which is about an inch wider then the top of the c channel frame stock. Then triple framed it about 3 feet inside the 2 front shakles on the rear springs (they like to break there), then drilled through both frames n mounted all crossmembers and shakles with grade 8 bolts instead of rivets. Only did the last 8 foot which is about to the middle of the cab, very weak frames in the back, put a steering brace n plated the frame behind the box up front, also built an engine crossmember to stiffen the front section of the frame

This my 1985 k10 pickup, it has double frame, dana 60 front with spool and 35 spline outers,14 bolt rear with detroit n rear disc both have 5.13 gears. Offroaddesign doubler with all fine spline shafts. Sm465 with short fine spline shaft, also custom lakewood bellhousing with hydraulic clutch. 1970 4bolt main 350 bored 30 over, hydraulic roller cam gear drive timing gear, edelbrock aluminum heads with edelbrock pro flo efi, road race oil pan. March pulleys with dual serpentine belts and Psc hydro assit steering with offroaddesign hi steer with crossover steering. Full roll cage with snorkle into cab also has sprung front body mounts. 4inch skyjacker springs with 2inches of shackle lift and 2.5inch body lift. Lots of fender cutting which I look factory by adding the one inch lip. Rockers were cut out n made rock sliders out 2x3 1/8 inch tubing with nerf gaurds. 15 gallons of herculiner frame, under cab, motor comp., up the side of body then scuffed n painted over on the body with olive drab dupont emron paint. Front n rear 12000 lb mile marker winches. 44inch boggers with usa 6x6 beadlocks. 20 gallon fuel cell in box with spare and dual group 31 yellow top optima batterys, and 250amp altenater feeding them. On the back of cab I made breathers for valve cover on motor and all tranny, transfer, axle vents, and fuel tank, with a little roof to protect from rain to make truck truley submergeble. It also has threaded pcv valve sealded distributer and a sealed lexon box under dash for efi computer, and last but not least sealed painless fusebox mounted in ashtray. Runs awesome gets 11mpg if I drive her nice, and rolls up the througway fine awesome truck took 5 years and 30 grand to build.
