I have a 1997 F150 4x4 with the 4.6L V8.  It has a 6" Fabtech suspension lift on the front with the torsion bars cranked so it comes out to about 8" in the front.  Right now i have an 8.8 axle with 5" block and a 2" add-a-leaf.  i want to soon change both of that, i want to find a way to take out the blocks (shackle flip or maybe all spring...if you have any ideas or know how to do it...let me know )  and i am also wanting to swap out the 8.8 for a sterling axle.  i dont have any performance mods in it yet but as soon as i get the rear end situated, that will be my next focus.  if you have any questions feel free to ask.
