1982 Dodge Ramcharger - workgoats
About my Ramcharger
The body is home made but the drivetrain is all Dodge. There's a limited slip in the 9 1/4" rear axle and manual hubs on the front Dana 44. There's a NP 435 tranny and a 208 transfer. The engine is from a '89 Dodge but the wiring harness, computer and steering column is from a '90 1-ton.
A York air conditioning compressor feeds a 6" pipe bumper air tank and a Smittybilt 8,000# winch sits on top of the bumper. Unity driving lights are from a parted out 30 year old fire truck,
American Racing Baja wheels have 33" Fisk tires that haven't been made for years. They will be replaced soon but 33" is the max due to limited height of the current home garage door.
I drive 35 miles each way to work so it's keeping the highway gears in the axles for now. It will continue to be a work in progress for some time unless I find some way to triple my budget.
In the photos we are stretching fencing for show goats with the winch. Earlier photos can be seen at workgoats.com.
