About my F-150 Pickup
I started with leveling the front end, then went with a 6'' lift.... after wheelin the ifs i was always breakin things.... axle shafts and ball joints.... so i ripped out the i.f.s....By that point i wasted enough money in parts.... So i decided it was time for a change....I started shoppin for new parts, i went to the local salvage yard i picked up a 79 dana 44 front rear, put yukon shafts and bearings, hooked it up with a locker and a 4.88 ring and pinion... then had to get a new housing for the rear since i broke, cracked and repaired the perches an axle tubes numerous times... to the salvage yard once again for a new housing... 8.8 ford rear with a locker and upgraded shafts....
So by this time i was trying to figure out what was the biggest i could go without being hasseled by the cops and still be able to legally run on the road...
So i put together 9'' coils in the front with trailmaster drop down brackets for the radius arms... A super lift ajust. trac bar... and 4 degree bushings...
For the rear i went with 6'' lift springs and 5.5 in block... but now looking for 10'' or 12'' springs for the rear to eliminate the block....for for tires i went with 38'' boggers cause of the price... after i did all this work and wheeled 2 times i blew the motor.... so now im saving the money to put a 347 stroker in it.....
